Free Cutting Brass Rods

Grade: IS 319 (Type I), EN CW614N (CuZn39Pb3)
Sizes: 4mm to 100mm diameter
Physical Properties:
- Tensile Strength: 360 – 460 MPa
- Yield Strength: 140 – 260 MPa
- Elongation: 10 – 25%
- Hardness (HB): 80 – 120
Uses: Machining, automotive parts, fasteners, valves, and connectors.
Fabrication Properties: Excellent machinability due to lead content, easy to drill and thread, and suitable for high – speed automatic screw machines.

Forging Brass Rods

Grade: IS 3488, ASTM B455, EN CW617N
Sizes: 10mm to 75mm diameter
Physical Properties:
- Tensile Strength: 420 – 550 MPa
- Yield Strength: 200 – 320 MPa
- Elongation: 18 – 30%
- Hardness (HB): 95 – 150
Uses: Ideal for hot forging applications, valves, fittings and plumbing components.
Fabrication Properties: Excellent for forging, retains strength and formability, high resistance to dezincification.

High Tensile Brass Rods

Grade: IS 319 (Type II), EN CW713R (CuZn37Mn3Al2PbSi)
Sizes: 10mm to 80mm diameter
Physical Properties:
- Tensile Strength: 500 – 750 MPa
- Yield Strength: 250 – 400 MPa
- Elongation: 10 – 18%
- Hardness (HB): 120 – 180
Uses: Structural components, heavy – duty fasteners, bearings, marine hardware.
Fabrication Properties: High strength, corrosion-resistant, good machinability, suitable for forming and bending.

Lead-Free Brass Rods

Grade: IS 4170, UNS C27450
Sizes: 6mm to 75mm diameter
Physical Properties:
- Tensile Strength: 300 – 480 MPa
- Yield Strength: 100 – 250 MPa
- Elongation: 15 – 30%
- Hardness (HB): 80 – 120
Uses: Drinking water systems, food industry, plumbing and electrical components.
Fabrication Properties: Lead – free, suitable for applications where lead contamination is a concern, good formability and corrosion resistance.

Naval Brass Rods

Grade: ASTM B21, EN CW712R (CuZn39Sn1)
Sizes: 8mm to 100mm diameter
Physical Properties:
- Tensile Strength: 380 – 510 MPa
- Yield Strength: 200 – 280 MPa
- Elongation: 18 – 30%
- Hardness (HB): 90 – 130
Uses: Marine hardware, propellers, shipbuilding, desalination plants.
Fabrication Properties: Excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion, good ductility and suitable for both hot and cold working.
